Daikin Is Committed to Environmental Sustainability

Daikin is committed to environmental sustainability across all of its products, facilities, and practices. Decarbonization and electrification are not mere buzzwords — they represent the cornerstone of a sustainable future. By reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and shifting toward renewable energy sources, we can mitigate the effects of climate change, improve air quality, and create a healthier planet for generations to come.

Low-GWP Refrigerants

Among the many refrigerant types, R-32 stands out as a balanced option. Because R-32 conveys heat efficiently, it can reduce electricity consumption by up to approximately 10% compared to air conditioners using R-22. And compared to widely used refrigerants like R-22 and R-410A, R-32 has a global warming potential (GWP) one-third lower — remarkable for its low environmental impact.

Inverter Compressors

An inverter is energy-saving technology that eliminates wasted operation by efficiently controlling motor speed. Inverter air conditioners adjust temperature by changing motor speed instead of switching the motor on and off, so they lose less power and can save up to 30% more energy than non-inverter systems.

Heat Pumps

A heat pump conveys heat rather than generating it. Because heating is performed by transferring heat from outdoors into the room, only a small amount of electricity is needed — delivering meaningful energy savings year-round.
